Measuring a window for blind outside of recess

If you want your blind to fit outside the window recess:

1. Measure the exact width (left to right)of where you'd like your blind to be. Top and bottom of window. Use the narrowest measurement
2. Measure the exact drop from the top  to the bottom.

Measuring a window for blind inside of recess

if you want your blind to hang inside the window recess:

1. Measure the width of the recess from wall to wall in three top bottom and middle. Use the smallest one
2. Measure the drop  from the top of the recess to the window sill in three places use shortest measurement.

Measuring tips

• Use a metal tape measurement
• Take all of your measurements in centimetres (cm)
• Make sure you think about any obsticals in the window e.g. tiles or dado rail half way down
• Look at your window handles and how your window opens. You will need to take their position into account to ensure a perfect fit!
